Several times in the book they are referred to or alluded to as "women society doesn't care about". The serial killer that the MCs (white men based on description) are hunting had been kidnapping and torturing native women & girls + sex workers, drug users. I read Unhinged and had similar issues with it, but Psycho was incredibly fucked up for me for a few reasons:ġ. Their more recent dive into books about "psychopaths" has been less enjoyable for me. Prefacing this by saying I was a fan of James and have enjoyed their books before. I'd like to discuss some of the aspects that made me feel this way and ask yall's thoughts on the question above. I read this book in full a couple of weeks ago and found it deeply upsetting and problematic, especially when it seemed like I was the only one who was uncomfortable.
